MISSION STATEMENT:

My deepest desire when I’m writing is to be able to share with others all the joy, the comfort, the hope and the strength I receive continually from God, by taking time to open up to Him and listen to Him through His Holy Word in the Bible. I pray these meditations will help the readers to experience God’s love for each one of us in a new and exciting way. Amen!

Do not be afraid, I am with you

Meditation (Gen 26:24) “I am the God of your father Abraham. Do not be afraid, I am with you.”

Personal Reflection and Prayer: Dear Heavenly Father, Thank You for Your assurance that You are with us. You command us not to be afraid. How can we fear when we know You are with us? Yet, at times, we fail to accept your promises. “We are weak, but You are strong.” Lord, help us to remember Your promise: do not be afraid, I am with you. Amen.

The Lord Provides

Meditation (Gen 22:1,2,11,12,14) Sometime later God tested Abraham… “Take your son Isaac whom you love so much…offer him as a sacrifice.”…But the angel of the Lord called to him, “Don’t hurt the boy or do anything to him. Now I know that you honor and obey God, because you have not kept your only son from him.” Abraham named the place “The Lord Provides”.

Personal Reflection and Prayer: Dear Heavenly Father, You tested Abraham, he honored and obeyed You. Please help us follow his example by honoring and obeying You. May we, like Abraham, realize that You always provide! Grant that we may remember forever to put all our trust and faith in You. In Jesus’ name, we pray, Amen.

Trusting the Lord

Meditation (Genesis 15:5,6) The Lord took Abram outside and said, “Look at the sky and try to count the stars; you will have as many descendants as that.” Abram put his trust in the Lord and because of this, the Lord was pleased with him and accepted him.

Personal Reflection and Prayer: Dear Heavenly Father, we can hardly imagine such a faith as Abram’s! “Abram put his trust in the Lord”! Help us learn to “trust in the Lord”, even and especially when, as for Abram, the future is unknown. Please, dear Lord, be with us as we learn from Abram to put our faith always completely in You. In Jesus’ name, we pray, Amen.

Nothing is Impossible for God

Meditation (Genesis 18:13-14) Then the Lord asked Abraham, “Why did Sarah laugh and say, , can I really have a child when I am so old?” Is anything too hard for the Lord?”

Personal Reflection and Prayer: Dear Heavenly Father, Is anything too hard for You, Lord? We learn that Sarah bore a son after You promised it. Help us remember that Your promises always come true. Nothing is impossible for God! At times it is hard to put our faith in You; like Sarah, we doubt when we fear and worry about the future. We thank You and praise You for Your assurance that nothing is too hard for You, Lord. Amen.
