MISSION STATEMENT:

My deepest desire when I’m writing is to be able to share with others all the joy, the comfort, the hope and the strength I receive continually from God, by taking time to open up to Him and listen to Him through His Holy Word in the Bible. I pray these meditations will help the readers to experience God’s love for each one of us in a new and exciting way. Amen!

God Knows Best!

Meditation (Genesis 11:5-9) The Lord came down to see the city and the tower those men had built and  He said, “ Now then, these are all one people and they speak one language; this is just the beginning of what they are going to do. Soon, they will be able to do anything they want! Let us go down and mix up their language so that they will not understand each other.” So the Lord scattered them all over the earth and they stopped building the city. The city was called Babylon.

Personal Reflection and Prayer: Dear Heavenly Father, You know what is best for each of us. Even though we don’t understand Your purposes, Lord, please help us accept when You must interfere in our lives. Help us be convinced that we totally depend on You. You are all powerful, knowing, loving and merciful. Amen.

God's Promises

Meditation (Genesis 9:8,11,14)  God said to Noah and his sons… “I promise that never again will all living beings be destroyed by a flood… Whenever I cover the sky with clouds and the rainbow appears, I will remember My promise to you.”

Personal Reflection and Prayer:  Dear Heavenly Father,  we thank You and praise You for Your promise to Noah, his family and all living creatures.  Please remind us, Lord, of Your love and Your promise whenever we look at one of those beautiful rainbows in the sky.  May we also remember to always thank You for all the beauty around us.  In Jesus’ name, we pray, Amen.

Thank You and praise You, Lord

Meditation (Genesis 4:6)  Then the Lord said to Cain, “Why are you angry?  Why that scowl on your face?  If you had done the right thing you would be smiling; but because you have done evil, sin is crouching at your door.  It wants to rule you, but you must overcome it.”

Personal Reflection and Prayer:  Dear Heavenly Father, sometimes I experience ‘sin crouching at my door, wanting to rule me’.  Those are the times when I have allowed anger, fears and worries to ‘rule me’.  On my own, Lord, I cannot overcome them!  However, if I go to You immediately , bring You my anger, fears and worries,  and leave them with You, You help me overcome them.  Thank You and praise You, God,  You are so wonderful, patient and always ready to help.  Amen

First Book of the Bible:Genesis

A New Beginning

Meditation (Genesis l:1-3)  In the beginning, when God created the universe, the earth was formless and desolate.  The raging ocean that covered everything was engulfed in total darkness and the power of God was moving over the water.  Then God commanded, “Let there be light” – and light appeared.

Dear Heavenly Father,  We see beauty all around us – blue skies with gentle clouds floating by, pure white snow sitting softly on fields, trees and hedges.  As we drove back from Church in Rockland, we got a glimpse of the Ottawa River and beyond the picturesque Gatineau Hills.  I am so grateful for all the beautiful scenery surrounding us.  After reading the story of creation, I am in awe of the beauty You create, Lord, and I thank You for all of Your creation.  In Jesus’ name,  Amen.
