Lise Baxter has lived a life of prayer and service, and for decades has been active as a Spiritual Director helping others deepen their relationship with God through Jesus Christ. Author of several devotional books, Lise has agreed to post both excerpts from her previous work as well as new devotional material here.

My deepest desire when I’m writing is to be able to share with others all the joy, the comfort, the hope and the strength I receive continually from God, by taking time to open up to Him and listen to Him through His Holy Word in the Bible. I pray these meditations will help the readers to experience God’s love for each one of us in a new and exciting way. Amen!

Lise Baxter's 8th Devotional book is now available in print and Ebook format!

St Andrew's Christian Church in Rockland has published the book as a gift to Lise and Neil. Generous donations from many people has made this possible. Lise has never taken any money for her books, instead donating them to the missions of the churches she has been involved in. Looking to get a copy? Read On!

Our beloved friend passed away June 4, 2015 just after 1:30 am. Lise had cerebral aneurysm three weeks previously, and, despite successful surgery, she suffered a subsequent stroke which led to further decline.

Her suffering has ended, and through Christ's grace we can trust in the promised resurrection in which she will enjoy eternally the presence of the Saviour she has loved so well in this life.

Remember that Lise's blog, which she kept  until three weeks ago, is still on our website at . May her close walk with the Lord continue to encourage you.

I know that we will all continue to support Neil with our love, prayers and encouragement as he and his family adjust to their loss. Likewise, let me know if you desire prayer or encouragement as we go through this grief together.

Meditation (Deuteronomy 27:9-10) Then Moses… said to all the people… “Today you have become the people of the Lord your God, so obey Him and keep all His laws that I am giving you today.”
Personal Reflection and Prayer:  Dear Heavenly Father, May You enable us to be “people of the Lord” ,  to be Yours alone. May You teach us how to be Your witnesses in all we say and do so that the world can see Your active presence in our lives.  Teach us to live in Your love and with Your love overflowing to all we meet.  In Jesus’ name, we pray, Amen.

Meditation (Deuteronomy 23:20) “… Obey this rule…and the Lord will bless everything you do in the land that you are going to occupy.”

Personal Reflection and Prayer: Dear Heavenly Father, May You direct our actions, words and thoughts so that we may live according to Your rules and not ours! We are tempted sometimes to bend the rules a bit and so we need to rely on You to show us the way.  Bless us, Lord, be with us and keep us from anything evil.  In Jesus’ name, we pray, Amen.
