Sunday School at Saint Andrew’s United Church is a time for children to learn, ask questions, and take part in activities designed for their age and stage.
Our goal is to create a safe, caring environment where children feel comfortable, included, and supported.
Parents are welcome to speak with our volunteers at any time, and children are encouraged to participate at their own pace.
When it takes place
Sunday mornings during the worship service
Who it’s for
Children of elementary school age
(Younger children are welcome with a parent or guardian)
Who oversees the program
Sunday School is led by trusted volunteers from our congregation.
What a Sunday looks like
Children begin the morning with the congregation and then move to Sunday School as a group.
During the session, they take part in:
- Simple lessons shared through stories and discussion
- Hands-on activities such as crafts or group projects
- Time to talk, listen, and learn together
The focus is on participation, kindness, and understanding — not performance or pressure.
Our approach
We work to provide a calm and respectful environment where children feel safe and cared for.
Volunteers are mindful of each child’s comfort level, and parents are always welcome to ask questions or share any concerns.
If your child needs extra support or prefers to stay with you, that is completely fine.
